My Passion

**Draft from 1/28/17 posting on 8/27/18 because it is something I can still look back on and enjoy and deserves a spot on the blog.**

As a college student, maybe people ask me about my major and what I want to do with my life. My major is Educational Ministries which is a combination of elementary education, psychology, and biblical studies. I'm also minoring in Intercultural Studies which basically means missions.

I haven't completely figured out what I want to do in the future besides travel and spread the gospel. The first thing I considered was just simply being a missionary. I know I was to travel all over but specifically Europe so I would start there. Taking the risk to find an organization to work with would be something I would have to do, however.

Another career option I've considered is teaching a Bible class at an international school like to missionary kids. This would be a great chance to connect with young students and help them understand the vast love of God.

Lately, I've been considering doing something with Women's ministry. When I was younger I was a member of GEMS which stands for girls everywhere meeting the savior. This was a Wednesday night church group for girls grades first through eighth. However, once I was about seventh grade I became a CIT (counselor in training) and I got to help lead the girls. This was very special to me because it allowed me to set a good example and find my love for ministry. Currently, I'm a leader for a group called SMM which stands for sisters mentoring with a mission. This is an after school group for girls grades first through sixth. I love being able to teach the girls about God's word and help them grow in their faith. All the girls I've worked with have inspired me and I want to continue to work with young girls. I haven't figured out a way to do that globally but it's something I could do once I decide not to travel anymore.

I decided a while ago that I want to write a book someday about my travel and sharing God's love with others. Recently I've added to this dream of mine. I think in the future I want to speak at girls and women's conference and share my story with them. Going to conferences myself and hearing women speak and has been one of my favorite memories. This is one way I can reach people and do something I love.
