**Note: This post is an accumulation of posts I did for Lent in 2017. I took them down because I never finished the last two days and got really discouraged. However, I now look back and love the daily posts I wrote and want them to still be a part of my blog. Enjoy!** Today is the first day of Lent. If you don't know what lent is, it's a religious period of time where Christians practice some sort of fasting (giving something up) or "spiritual discipline" (daily prayer or devotional to draw closer to God). This year I've decided to participate in a form of "spiritual discipline." I want to focus on reading my bible daily and reflecting on the word of God. In doing this, I'm going to share the passages and my thought daily on my blog. I decided not to fast from something because a reason this is done is to honor Jesus' suffering.
